Vice-gov gives away P12.6-M to Sangguniang Bayan members

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—A total of P12.6-M or P1.4-M each was distributed on Friday, to nine towns, here, by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice-governor Dennis Pineda.
The said allotment was intended for purchasing service vehicles for the Sangguniang Bayan towns of Lubao, Guagua, Sta. Rita, Floridablanca, Mexico, San Luis, Magalang, Mabalacat and Sasmuan.
According to Lubao Councilor John Susi, the vehicles would be used in aid of legislation.
“These are intended for public hearings with the barangays when there are ordinances or resolutions to be passed and when we celebrate “Barangay Day”, Susi said.
Board members Anthony Joseph Torres, Crisostomo Garbo, Ricardo Yabut, Arthur Salalila, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction And Management Council (PDRRMC) Head, Angie Blanco, together with the Vice-mayors and Councilors of the recipient towns filled the office of the Vice-governor during the awarding of checks.
Governor Lilia G. Pineda and Vice-Governor Dennis Pineda advised the recipients to show concern and to look after what the provincial government and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan is providing them.
“What the governor and your vice-governor want is to take good care of the services we provided you for”, the vice-governor said.
“Make sure that these vehicles would be used for all public concerns”, he added.
The distribution will also aid effective administration in their municipalities, it was learned.
