CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda on Tuesday inspected the areas affected by the flood waters induced by typhoon Lando in the towns of San Luis and Candaba.
The vice governor together with Angie Blanco, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PDRRM) officer; San Luis Mayor Venancio Macapagal and Apalit Mayor Oscar Tetangco, Jr, Pampanga Councilors League president; personally inspected the portion of Arnedo Dike in barangay Sta. Cruz Poblacion, San Luis.
Vice gov Pineda urged the residents to immediately evacuate as waters from Pampanga River may reach the spilling level.
According to Mayor Macapagal, there are eleven barangays in San Luis that are affected by flood waters brought about by the typhoon.
PDRRMO Blanco said the provincial government will distribute relief goods and other assistance to the affected families.
The vice governor alongside rescuers, two military trucks, one rubber boat also went to Candaba to evacuate affected residents. A loader was also brought in the place to clear the water lilies.
