Thousand applicants benefit from skills registration

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – More than a thousand applicants benefitted from the recently concluded online registration for skills profile on employment abroad organized by the provincial government of Pampanga in partnership with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) held at the Benigno Aquino Hall.

According to Public Employment Service Office (PESO) manager Luningning Vergara the activity aims to register all persons who are in need of overseas employment.

Vergara added that the profile of the registered applicants will be shared with foreign employers in response to their manpower requirements.

“We’ve registered more than a thousand applicants in the POEA database. Once registered, the foreign employers or the POEA will directly contact the applicant depending on the skills and experiences indicated in the online registration,” Vergara said.s

According to Jocelyn Sanchez, POEA Director II for Employment branch, the online registration is still on-going and applicants can still register using the POEA e-registration system (http://www.eregister.poea.gov.ph).
