CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Pampanga unanimously approved the resolution creating an ad hoc committee for the monitoring of the barangay elections.
The Resolution No. 3065 sponsored by all the members of the provincial board tasked the ad hoc committee to oversee and monitor the peaceful and orderly conduct of the barangay elections in the 505 barangays in the province.
It also states that the committee may call upon the Philippine National Police in the province and Military stationed in the Central Luzon to help in the execution of their task.
The member of the ad hoc committee are; Gov. Lilia Pineda (Honorary chairman); Vice Gov. Dennis Pineda (Chairperson); Pssupt. Oscar Albayalde (Co-Chairperson); and Board Member Rosve Henson (Member); ABC President Melchor Pingol (Member); DILG Pampanga Director Myrvi Fabia (Member); Col. Henry Sabarre of 703rd Infantry Brigade, AFP (Member); Pampanga Mayors’ League (Member); Comelec Pampanga Supervisor Atty. Lydia Pangilinan (Member); and All ABC Municipal Presidents.
Board Member Rosve Henson, chairman of the committee on peace and order and public safety said the members are expected to coordinate with each other and report all incidents related to election.
“The provincial government will not only wait for the result of the poll but will monitor the situation every barangay and do necessary actions if untoward incidents happened,” said Henson.
He also clarified that the ad hoc committee is co-terminus of the day of the election and shall be deemed abolished upon the completion of its tasks.
