SAN SIMON – The townsfolk of this town led by Mayor Leonora C. Wong lauded Governor Lilia “Nanay” G. Pineda for the distribution of tricycle patrols to all barangyas here the other day.
This developed as residents here welcomed the governor who graced the turn over ceremonies of the said tricycles. The blessing was officiated by Fr. Ariel Limjoco, parish priest of Virgen delos Remedios in Minalin town.
“‘Nanay Gov’ ang tawag ko kay Gov, hindi dahil doon siya sikat, kundi dahil nakita kong tunay siyang nanay ng probinsya.”, the mayor stated.
The welfare of her constituents has always been the priority of the governor, she added.
The governor still has other projects in line like the opening of an Action Center to further serve the residents of Pampanga’s 4th district.
Meanwhile, Police Senior Superintendent Edgardo Tinio and Police Chief Inspector Paul Gamido reminded the residents especially the barangay tanods to properly use and maintain the given vehicles.
The tricycles should be utilized to maintain the peace and order of their respective barangays as well as serve as emergency vehicles for their constituents.
The governor has also led the distribution of uniforms for the barangay tanods. (Angelique Tuazon, PIO Pampanga)
