CITY Of SAN FERNANDO – The Pampanga Provincial Police Office (PPO) under the leadership of Police Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde intensifies discipline among police personnel through issuance of delinquency reports (DR).
Instead of administrative complainants the acting PPO director said the office will adapt issuance of delinquency reports practice in Police Regional Office 3 (RPO3) and National Headquarters in Camp Crame.
“DRs are not as heavy as administrative complaints but they serve as warnings that require immediate correction from the police officer who disobey some of the proper conduct impose to them as law enforcers,” Pssupt. Albayalde said.
Some of the minor offences that may result to issuance of delinquency reports are invalid reason for absence, improper uniform, texting and smoking while on duty.
“Cops who are caught doing such things will be reprimanded accordingly. Once the issuance of DRs is implemented and got approval from the higher office, offenders will be assigned to do community service like cleaning drainage and grass cutting,” Pssupt. Albayalde added.
Pssupt. Albayalde explained the initiative is to inculcate to the police officers that they should live by example. According to him discipline is the number one character of a person protects and enforces the country’s law.
He also reminded the chief of police (COPs) to lead their men properly by monitoring their behavior and checking on them while on duty.
“Talk to them before deployment. Always remind them of the proper conduct of police officers. Cops should be respected and not feared,” he told them.
