CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial police office (PPO) braces for the opening of classes on June 3 through its Oplan Balik Paaralan.
Psupt. Jhoanna Rosales, chief provincial operations branch said Oplan Balik Paaralan is a yearly activity of the Philippine National Police that ensures peace and order on the first days of classes.
According to her the PNP should be always be ready to respond to any security concerns of the public including threats from criminals elements who may take advantage of the situation.
“PPO intensifies mobile and foot patrols along major routes and within the immediate vicinity of school premises. Some of the PNP personnel in the province will be designated to provide security coverage at bus terminals, malls, business centers and other area convergence,” she stated.
Psupt. Rosales admitted the limited numbers of police to supervise the whole province. She urged bantay bayan and other civic organizations to assist in providing security, traffic assistance and other related public safer services in their area.
Also included in the Oplan Balik Paaralan of PPO is the establishment of Police Assistance Desks in major campuses, and designation of liaison officer in all schools.
“Every PNP station was instructed to deploy policemen to assist the public. We are asking the public to report immediately any untoward incidents they encounter or witnessed.
