Pineda fetes Aldo Ding Katutubo

PORAC—Governor Lilia “Nanay Pineda feted “Aldo Ding Katutubo” (Anlu Hen Aytan Katutubo Hen-Aeta Ku Pagmaragul Ku) with 4,000 families from the upland villages of this town, Floridablanca and Mabalacat City, over the week as part of the 444th Aldo Ning Kapampangan celebration.

The lady governor was welcomed and joined by this town’s mayor Condralito dela Cruz and Vice-mayor Dexter David with his sister former Board Member and Chief-of-Staff Fritzie David-Dizon, Board Member Salvador Dimson Jr., Capitol’s department heads led by Atty. Andres S. Pangilinan Jr. in the distribution of gifts to the Aetas held in Barangay Planas.

Pineda said that this event is annually done at the time of Pampanga Day celebration where activities are focused in giving attention to the less privileged sectors of the society and uplift the lives and welfare of the indigenous people.

 

“Atiu tamu pu ngeni kasi pagselebran taya ing “Aldo Ning Kapampangan” at siyempre pu atin tamung “Aldo Ding Katutubo” ngeni. Aku pu bilang governor yu, dati-rati didinan da kayung ditak a saup king pamangan yu, pero atin kayu naman pung pamangan para Pasku. Nung migkulang pa pu o ditak man ing ibie mi kekayu manyad ku pung malalam a pang-unawa ing importanti pu adidinan na kayung pansin ning Kapitolyu”, the governor said.

High school scholars staged their cultural and modern performances that depict Aeta traditions.

These Aeta children are Capitol scholars who receive a financial assistance of P 2,500 per school year provided by the provincial government.

In Floridablanca, Pineda was welcomed by Mayor Eduardo Guerrero and Nabuclod’s chieftain Anita Casupanan where she expressed her gratitude to the governor.

“Maserbisyu ya kekami y “Nanay” Lilia Pineda, talagang ya pang meging gobernador a maserbisyu kekami. Dakal a mig-gobernador ya pa ing talagang memansin kareng Aeta kaya magpasalamat ku ala yang sawang sasaup kekami. Anggang ng oras munta ku Capitol, atiu lagi iong saup na kekami,” Casupanan said.

Pineda ended her day in Mabalacat City where she was welcomed by Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales and other barangay officials and joined by Board Members Crisostomo Garbo and Cherry Manalo in the distribution of gifts.

Morales, Garbo and Manalo said that this event is an indication of the governor’s affection to the Aetas.
