Pineda extends more aid to dialysis patients

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO–Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda on Tuesday, extended more aid by distributing food packs and cash assistance to the 864 dialysis patients from the three districts (1st, 3rd and 4th) of the province.

Governor Pineda also stressed the importance of Philhealth on their condition and how the provincial government can help them through its comprehensive health programs.

 

During the event held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center the governor said that she would do the best she could to let the sick people and the burdened, experience good service while she remains seated as the Chief Executive of the province.

 

“Ikayu pung Kapampangan a masakit at mag-dialysis, ken pung pamanungkulan ng Gov. Pineda, buri ku pu ding pera ning Kapitolyu anggang ditak mung alaga, mibahaginan kayu”, the governor said.

 

Governor Pineda stressed that every program she sustains is supported and approved by the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice-governor Dennis Pineda.

 

Pineda added that the Capitol will look into other means to increase its funds to cater the needs of all the Kapampangans especially the sick.

 

Pineda guaranteed that if government hospitals could no longer provide treatment for dialysis patients, they can be transferred or referred to private hospitals with the assistance from the provincial government.

 

The governor also cited that she longed for her successors to emulate her deeds for a healthier Pampanguenos.

 

Capitol has allocated millions of pesos to maintain its health services to the people and to enroll everyone in need to the Point of Care program.

 

Meanwhile, third district Board member Rosve Henson, cited that the governor wants to have an in-depth study on the root-cause of the “chronic renal failure” that torments the patients having the disease.

 

Henson also assured the dialysis patients that the Sangguniang Panlalawigan will continue to support the governor with all her programs for the poor.

“Basta agyu ning pondu at resources ning Kapitolyu at paintulutan ning batas, ikami pu king Sangguniang Panlalawigan, egana-ganang akua ng pinansyal at suporta ning governor, one hundred percent ibie mi pu kaya. Bangkanita, agawa na ngan ing programa para kareng Kabalen tamu”, Henson said.

 

Also present during the distribution were Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Angie Blanco, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Elizabeth Baybayan, Board members Crisostomo Garbo, Cherry Manalo, ABC president ex-officio Board member Atty. Gerome Tubig, and other local officials.
