Pineda Enjoins Capitol Employees to Work for a Better Pampanga

Pampanga Governor Lilia G. Pineda enjoined provincial capitol employees to work closely with her administration and support her plans and programs to achieve a better and progressive province.

In her message during her first flag raising ceremony at the provincial capitol, Pineda stressed that first among her priorities is the improvement of the various offices as she strongly believes that employees perform better in a “masalese, masanting and mabanglung work area equipped with needed facilities.”

The Governor related that in her previous visits to other provincial capitol buildings, she observed that these offices are clean, well-maintained and equipped with high technology gadgets.

On her first days in office, Pineda inspected the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO), Employment Services Office (PESO) and other offices at the Capitol and found them in need of immediate repair and improvement.

“We will prioritize the improvement of your work areas to ensure that you will become more productive and be able to deliver fast, clean and honest services to the public.”

She instructed the employees to do their work diligently during office hours and not to bring their personal worries and cares to the office.

As the governor, she wants the employees to treat her as their own “Nanay” as she encouraged them to share with her their personal problems which she, as a mother herself, experiences as well.

Pineda’s brief message was met with rousing applause by the employees who registered almost 100 percent attendance, the province’s board members, Vice-Governor Joseller Guiao, Legal Officer Cecil Andin, Chief of Staff Rosve Henson and Provincial Administrator Andres Pangilinan, Jr.

Henson said that Monday’s flag raising ceremony signified the start of a unified province between the chief executive and the chief legislative officials.

Guiao shared with the employees the good news that on the very first day of the Pineda’s administration, the province earned a record high of P1.38 million from quarry operations and another Pl.425 million on the second day.

The Vice-Governor also informed them that he was instructed by the Governor to ensure that the 2009 Christmas bonus, and more, be released to the employees in two weeks’ time.

Like the Governor, Guiao called for the Capitol employees’ commitment and support and work together towards a progressive province even as he encouraged them to continue their clean and honest delivery of services.

He also assured the new administration of his continuous support and that of the members of the provincial board and the municipal mayors to all the projects of the new governor.
