SASMUAN, Pampanga – The beneficiaries of the National Household Targeting System – Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) program of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) should maximize the use of benefits allotted to members.
So, said 2nd District Board Members Anthony Joseph Torres and Arthur Salalila yesterday during the distribution of Philhealth members’ data records (MDR) to 2,684 residents of Sasmuan and 6,640 residents of Guagua under the NHTS-PR identified by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Torres reminded the recipients about the rights, privileges and services offered to members and their dependents.
“As members, it is better for you to know more and use the benefits being offered by Philhealth. Review all the benefits and avail it,” said Torres.
Salalila also called the attention of the beneficiaries to have their regular check up at the nearest district hospitals.
“If you have problems with your health, do not be afraid to go to the nearest district hospitals for your check up. Everything will be for free at government hospitals because of the “No Balance Billing” designed for you,” Salalilas said.
According to Pampanga PhilHealth branch manager Henry Almanon, PhilHealth members under the NHTS-PR are entitled to the “no balance billing policy” wherein they will not pay for their hospitalization.
Members can also enjoy Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya (TSeKap), a primary care benefit package that offers free consultation, regular blood pressure monitoring, breastfeeding and counselling sessions and laboratory examinations.
Almanon added that philhealth officers will roam the province to distribute MDRs to indigent Kapampangans.
