Pampanga prepares tourists’ itinerary for travel agencies

 CITY OF SAN FERNANDO- The provincial government through the Arts, Culture and Tourism Office of Pampanga (ACTOP) and the local government units prepared a systematic destination itinerary which will be used by the travel agencies for their tour package.
Arwin Paul Lingat, chief of the ACTOP said with this itinerary, Pampanga is now ready to accommodate more tourists for its several tourist destinations that should be included in the tour packages offered by travel agencies.
The ACTOP together with the local tourism officers of each town and other Kapampangan culture advocates formed an itinerary for travel agencies featuring established tourist spots in the province.
 “Pampanga has much to offer for the local and foreign tourists. It should not only be the hotels, golf courses, and restaurants in Clark. We have historical places and old churches worth visiting. We have shops and centers that house the best foods, arts and handicrafts in the province,” he said.
Lingat said the prepared itinerary is a whole-day-trip with four destinations that highlighted towns and places in the province that are ready for tourism activities.
 “There are tourism destinations in the province but some of them are on the process of development. The itinerary includes those established and tourism-ready,” said Lingat.
 The proposed destinations are as follows: First Destination – San Guillermo Paris Church (Bacolor), Church Museum, mall Pasalubong Center / Cabalantian Products and Painting/ Exhibit; Second Destination- Santiago Mayora Parish Church (Betis, Guagua), Church Museum, Betis Crafts Centers (Special Arrangement), Guitars, Wood carvings, chicharon Centers; Third Destination – Sta. Rita de Casia Parish Church (Sta. Rita), Church Relic, Delicacies Center, Old Houses Tour and Arti Sta. Rita Special Performances and Fourth Destination – San Agustin Parish Church (Lubao), Church Relic Tour, Sampaguita Production Centers and Diosdado Macapagal Museums.
According to Lingat, they will conduct regular assessment of other tourist spots in the province and they will include those ready for tourism in the tour packages.
