Pampanga PNP Proposes Motorcycle Patrol Unit

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Pampanga Provincial Police Office Director Oscar Albayalde bared plans to create the motorcycle patrol unit in the province to address the problem on motorcycle riding suspects.

In his presentation during the provincial peace and order council meeting, Police Senior Supt. Albayalde said the unit will be composed of patrol teams called the Motorcycle Riding Cops (MRCs).

They will work under the provincial public safety company headed by Psupt. Bernard Perez.

The PPO Director explained that the MRCs will conduct anti-criminality operations on narrow streets and alleys wherein it is difficult to deploy patrol cars.

He added the primary task of the unit is to prevent motorcycle-riding suspects from doing crimes.

“The Motorcycle Patrol Unit will be the front liners in apprehending and preventing suspects using motorcycles in doing crimes. Using the same motor vehicle we can run after them,” said Albayalde.

The unit’s responsibilities will also include the implementation of the police integrated patrol system on highly populated places in the province such as in this city and in Mabalacat City.

Aside from these, the proposed patrol unit will also be assigned in providing security escorts to VIPs (Very Important Persons) visiting the province.
