CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda led the turn-over yesterday of two dump trucks intended for the solid waste management operations of Candaba and San Simon towns who received one each.
Another three Mitsubishi L300 service vehicles were distributed by the provincial government for the use of the school personnel of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University, Philippine State College of Aeronautics, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
Francis Maslog, officer-in-charge of the General Services Office said the vehicles have a total amount of P 6,464,600. The dump trucks were estimated to be worth P 1,999,000 each and the L300 amounted to P 822,200 each.
He said that these vehicles are expected to augment the operations of the said institutions and municipalities.
Assisting the governor in the distribution were Provincial Administrator Atty. Andres S. Pangilinan, Jr. during the flag-raising ceremonies at the Provincial Capitol Grounds here.
With the proper solid waste management, the governor said, they could also help and contributed to the health program of the province.
It can be remembered that April last year, the Provincial Capitol also distributed 21 dump trucks worth P 38.9-million to all the municipalities and two cities of the province for better garbage collection operations.
