CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial government of Pampanga headed by Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda assured support to the ‘Hello Work’ project of a company based in Japan that aims to bring employment opportunities to the Kapampangan.
Gov. Pineda met with Kento Utsunomiya, chief director of Fauster Co., Ltd during his courtesy visit along with Dr. Koichi Tanaka, chairperson of the International Frontier Medical Support; Kozo Kikuchi, president of the International Frontier Medical Support; Takayuki Hiruta, president of Hiruta Riken Co., Ltd and Cecilio de Guzman.
The ‘Hello Work’ is a project of Fauster Co., Ltd., a duly organized and existing corporation based in Osaka, accredited with numerous multi-national companies in Japan that need a lot of manpower for their industries.
According to Utsunomiya, they are in need of individuals engaged in doing civil and industrial construction works like the building of dams, super highway interchange, gas pipeline, and asphalt production, manufacturing body parts of car, airplane and bullet train body parts and equipment.
Utsunomiya added that he wants to have a partnership with the provincial government in providing employment to hardworking and industrious Filipinos especially Kapampangan who want to work in world-class industries in Japan.
Aside from meeting the governor, the group also visited Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital (DPPMH) in Guagua and Ricardo Rodriguez District Hospital annex in Bacolor.
They were assisted by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Jose Antonio Rivera and welcomed by Dr. Eddie Ponio, chief of DPMMH and Dr. Antonio Ong, chief of Ricardo Rodriguez.
Dr. Rivera and the two chiefs of hospital shared the medical and health care services being provided by the provincial and district hospitals under the supervision of the provincial government and how they extend medical and surgical assistance particularly to the poorest of the poor patients.
Dr. Tanaka lauded the best efforts of the provincial government, but he also emphasized that there is a big gap in the healthcare system of Japan and of the Philippines.
“I’m very surprised because the staff are very active and positive, however, I observed the facilities, equipment, machineries and instruments are very old. That is why I want to help the possible I can,” Tanaka said.
“After visiting here, I will communicate with the doctors for the collaboration and cooperation with the Japanese side and the Philippines especially this province to extend and promote the quality of health care system,” Tanaka added.
Tanaka furthered he is willing to conduct trainings and education to healthcare providers in the province.
He added that he would also negotiate with the Japanese government to discuss the possible support that they can give to the provincial government.
