Pampanga collects 235.6-M RPT in 2015

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial government of Pampanga headed by Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda collected a total of P235,648,137.59 in real property tax (RPT) for 2015.

 

Records from the Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) show that the amount was amassed from the 19 towns of Pampanga and walk in taxpayers from Mabalacat City.

 

Apalit collected P20,590,696.92; Arayat- P12,034,599.64; Bacolor- P23,699,743.04; Candaba- P4,397,841.74; Floridablanca- P8,322,868.38; Guagua- P15,385,533.52; Lubao- P21,371,063.08; Mabalacat City- P14,690.42; Macabebe- P14,314,175.24; Magalang- P17,773,955.88; Masantol- P4,361,745.10; Mexico P34,469,835.40; Minalin- P7,332,284.58; Porac- P17,405,651.72; San Luis- P2,840,433.78; San Simon- P12,894,666.78; Sta. Ana- P2,734,812.08; Sta. Rita- P5,915,509.54; Sto. Tomas- P6,177,106.26; and Sasmuan- P3,610,924.48.

 

According to Provincial Assessor Engr. Romeo Dizon, the launch of the Integrated Taxation Management System in the different municipalities has been instrumental in the improved RPT collection.

 

“ITax system aims to transform the province’s current tax collection from a lengthy, tedious, and manual process to an efficient, transparent, and automated system which will greatly benefit the Kapampangan tax payers, particularly in RPT,” Dizon said.

 

Gov. Pineda said high RPT revenues will mean more developments, infrastructure projects, and services delivered to the masses and will eventually encourage and motivate people’s participation in local governance.

 

The RPT provincial share is recorded at P100,149,770.16 while the municipality share is P106,041,203.04 and the barangay share is P29,457,164.39.
