FLORIDABLANCA – The provincial government of Pampanga through the Provincial Board allotted P50 million for the Point of Care (POC) program of the province.
This was announced by Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda during the distribution of members data record (MDRs) conducted by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) to 5,895 indigents of this town.
During the activity, the governor said non-beneficiaries of the free MDRs need not worry because the provincial board allotted P50 million for the POC to provide further healthcare that would benefit other indigent Kapampangans.
The governor also reminded the beneficiaries under the National Housing Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to maximize the use of their Philhealth membership because they are entitled to the ‘no balance billing’ policy.
Philhealth members under NHTS-PR can also avail various services provided by the Department of Health, PhilHealth and the local government unit through the program TSeKap or Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya.
Floridablanca Mayor Eduardo Guerrero expressed his gratitude to the governor for the programs that are beneficial to the indigents.
Floridablanca is the third stop in the series of MDRs distribution throughout the province.
Present during the activity were board member Jun Dimson, former board member Fritzie David-Dizon, PSWDO Elizabeth Baybayan, OIC-PHO Dr. Jay Rivera, former Mayor Pedro Capulong, Floridablanca Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Joe Rey Montemayor and other local officials.
