CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Provincial Government of Pampanga distributed P7, 056, 000 worth of scholarship grants to 2,252 scholars identified by the Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL) – Pampanga Chapter at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.
Acting Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution of educational financial assistance to student-beneficiaries from 19 towns and two cities of the province.
In addition, some 100 scholars were identified by PCL Pampanga President and Board Member Olga Frances David-Dizon.
Funded by the provincial government, the student-recipients received P3, 000 each. This was facilitated by the Provincial Library headed by Bessie Makabali.
Board Member Dizon lauded the students’ endeavor and desire to finish their schooling and reminded them to keep on striving hard to reach their goals in life.
“It is important to us that you graduate in your schooling because you are the hope of Pampanga,” she added.
Acting Governor Pineda reminded the students and their parents to stay away from illegal drugs so as not to destroy their lives.
Present during the awarding of educational financial assistance are Board Members Attorney Ananias “Jun” Canlas, Jr., Anthony Joseph Torres and Cherry Manalo.
