CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Province of Pampanga, led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, has been recognized for having “beyond compliant” Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (LDRRMC) in a recent assessment by the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) Region 3.
The certificate of commendation was received by Angelina Blanco, PDRRMO chief, during the Regional LDRRMCO Assessment Recognition last Dec. 17, 2021 held at the Best Western Metro Clark Hotel
Pampanga is also the only province in the region to have received the highest rating in the evaluation.
“Ipinaaabot po ni Governor Pineda ang lubos na pasasalamat sa Office of Civil Defense Region III sa pamumuno ni Regional Director Cesar M. Idio at sa buong Regional Validation Committee,” Blanco said.
“Ang parangal pong ito ay naging posible sa aktibong pagtutulungan ng mga miyembro ng Pampanga PDRRMC mula sa mga public agencies, private sectors, civil society organizations, ating mga local officials, at higit sa lahat, ang ating mga komunidad,” she emphasized.
The PDRRMO chief assured of the organization’s ongoing efforts and programs to raise the standards of disaster resiliency in the province.
The Office of Civil Defense Region III led the assessment, together with the Departments of Science and Technology Region III, Interior and Local Government Region III, Social Welfare and Development Region III, and the National Economic Development Authority Region III.
