CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –Congressman-elect Oscar Rodriguez vowed to spend budget according to priority programs and projects needed in the third district.
Rodriguez, the out-going Mayor of this city pointed out that one of the flaws in governance is mismanagement and misappropriation of public funds.
He said most of the times programs and projects that needed funding were neglected. This is according to him is failure to identify and consider the real needs of the people.
“Every centavo of the budget coming from national government or from PDAF (Priority Development Assistance Fund) should be spent on significant programs that will benefit the majority,” Rodriguez said.
The congressman-elect stated that he will put the funds on development plan that will boost the economic activity in the five towns of the district (Arayat, Sta. Ana, Mexico, City of San Fernando and Baclor).
He also vowed to finance important infrastructure projects and will lobby in the national government for the funding of flood mitigation projects in the province. Also in his plan is maximizing the agricultural capacity of the third district.
Known as the “Father of Education” in this city for the establishment of City College and continuous scholarship programs, he said education will be one of his top priorities.
“Some of the agenda and plans we have planted in the City of San Fernando during my administration will be introduce to other towns,” he said.
