Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda sworn into office the newly-elected officers of the Provincial Agricultural and Fishery Council (PAFC) led by its chairperson Nestor M. Garcia of Lambac, MPC on Thursday.
The oath taking rites was held right after the PAFC assembly at the Governor’s Office.
The new officers all pledged their commitment to serve the PAFC to the best of their abilities as the welfare of its members and the progress of the agri-fishery sector will mean progress for the province as well.
Other PAFC officers who took oath were Edilberto E. Salenga, co-chair; Jesus M. Gavino,vice-chair for private; Jose L. Paguinto, secretary; Claudio P. Manalo, treasurer, Roberto B. Lintag; auditor, Gloria P. Millare, PRO and Susan D. Lansangan as secretariat-coordinator.
The PAFC Sectoral Committee is composed of Abelardo M. Dizon; chairperson for poultry, livestock & feed crops, Reynaldo N. Basco; fisheries and aquaculture, Bernardo C. Sarmiento; food staples, Hilgardo Z. David; commercial crops, Domingo E. Torno; fruits and vegetables; Ferdinand R. Pineda; agricultural mechanic, Gelacio L. Angeles; international trade, Sonny M. Galang; climate change, Cristeta L. Pelayo, women and Alberto Rhey Lucero for youth.
