City of San Fernando—–At least 800 scavengers received incentives from Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “ Delta” Pineda in a gathering held at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center this city, the other day.
It was learned from Michael Regala, one of the staff in-charge in facilitating the distribution, each scavenger received 25 kilos of rice together with canned goods plus P1,000 cash.
The lady governor and the vice governor personally supervise the distribution and also gave their advice not to loose hope and continue to struggle for their good future.
A certain Imelda Estrada, a solo parent from Maimpis, City of San Fernando, who have 7 children thanked Nanay Governor and Vice Governor Delta for their continuous support, love and care for the less fortunate Kabalens like her.
Estrada said, “Napakalaki po ng pasasalamat ko sa mahal nating governador at bise governador dahil po sa walang katapusan nilang pagtulong sa katulad naming mahihirap. Lalo po ako sa panig ko dahil wala akong asawa na tumutulong sa pangangalaga sa 7 kong anak na ang isa ay kamamatay pa lamang.”
Board Members Pritzie David-Dizon, Tonton Torres, Rosve Henson, Cherry Manalo, PDRRMO Head Angie Blanco, PENRO Head Arthur Punzalan along with the Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) and PESO staff graced the occasion.
