Pineda meets with barangay tanods and some members of the local police force to strengthen their efforts in neutralizing the crimes perpetrated by the “daga-daga gang”, or tunneling robbers, who victimize pawnshops and banks by using acetylene torches to gain entry to these establishments. She also calls on police officers in the province to tighten security in these areas and contain the incidence of such robberies by closer monitoring.
