CITY OF SAN FERNANDO- Pampanga Liga ng mga Barangay President Board Member Gabby Mutuc confirmed on Friday that the council agreed to send aid to families affected by the ongoing eruption of the Taal Vocano.
According to Mutuc, all members voluntarily gave at least P 10,000 each to provide assistance to Batanguenos displaced in the different evacuation centers.
A part from the contingent team provided by the Provincial Government, Mutuc said this is the initiative of their group to show their sympathy to those who were greatly affected by the said tragedy.
It was disclosed that the group will donate 5,000 pieces of 1 L bottled water; 2,000 pairs of slippers; 2,000 sets of hygiene kits; and 30 sacks of 25-kg rice to the affected families.
Mutuc mentioned that they are set to go to Batangas along with the whole Pampanga contingent team headed by the Governor next week.
Furthermore, the Pampanga Mayor’s League (PML) headed by Minalin Mayor Edgardo Flores, are also planning to pass a resolution to ask each member or municipality to donate not less than P 100,000 financial assistance for the victims of Taal volcano eruption.Liga ng mga Barangay unite to help Taal Victims
