Illegal Drugs Penetrate 166 Pampanga Villages

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Luzon bared that 166 out of 505 villages in Pampanga are affected by illegal drug activities.

Based on the  report of PDEA this city is the most affected that reached 24 barangays, followed by Arayat with 22 affected villages and 12 for Mabalacat City and Guagua.

It was also learned that shabu, marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy are the top illegal drug choice in the province.

PDEA Regional Director Jeoffrey Tacio reported that they are targeting a total of 740 drug personalities in the province consist of 465 pushers, 94 users, 1 courier, 1 financier, 6 on the wanted list and 173 target list.

Director Tacio said together with the provincial police office they have conducted 181 anti-drug operations that led to the arrest of 56 persons.

The accomplishment report of PDEA showed that for this quarter of the year they have confiscated 505 grams of shabu and 2,852 grams of marijuana with a total amount of P3, 158, 556.

PDEA appealed to all baranga officials and local government units to activate their Barangay, Municiapal, and City  Anti-Drug Abuse Council and help in the campaign against illegal drug operations in the province.
