LUBAO – Captains of several barangays in 2nd district gathered here to receive the annual financial aid granted by the provincial government.
An estimated 2.7 million pesos will be allocated for all 539 barangays throughout the province.
Provincial Director Police Senior Superintendent Edgardo TInio addressed the village captains and acknowledged the role of barangay officials in building safer and more peaceful communities for the Kapampangans.
“We are nothing without you”, Tinio declared. Successful police operations are realized through the effective communication between the police and barangay officials, the director added.
Accordingly, Tinio urged the officials to be more vigilant and requested for their constant support in maintaining peace and order in their respective areas.
The director also asked to report any unusual activities they notice in their respective areas. “Serbisyong may malasakit ang ibigay natin sa ating mga kababayan”, Tinio instructed.
Meanwhile, Governor Lilia “Nanay” G. Pineda advised the barangay officials, especially the treasurers to assess their respective budgets and determine which projects need to be prioritized and be allocated with sufficient funds.
