GUV DELTA DECLARES HALF-DAY WORK FOR CAPITOL EMPLOYEES

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda announced the dismissal of work of provincial government employees at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 23 during the flag-raising ceremony at the Capitol grounds, here.

According to Charlie Chua, provincial administrator the dismissal of work is aimed at giving the employees a chance and time to celebrate and enjoy the day with their respective families.

He said that this is in line with the 27th National Family Week Celebration, pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 60 and Executive Order (EO) No. 241.

The EO states that the Family Week will be celebrated every fourth week of September starting from September 23-29. This year’s theme is “Tungo sa Maginhawa, Matatag at Panatag na Pamilyang Pilipino”.

“Kaya ngayon, si Governor nag-decide to participate in the celebration ng family day. Sinuspend niya ang trabaho ng mga Capitol employees kaya nagkaroon tayo ng early dismissal,” the provincial administrator added.

Moreover, the National Committee on the Filipino Activity chaired by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) organized the following activities for the weeklong event: Kick-Off Activity, Family Conference, Interfaith Celebration, Medical Mission, recognition Day, Fun Run and Pantawid Family Day, and Pantawid Pamilya National Family Day.

As identified by the NCFF, the said Kick-Off Activity was held at Heroes Hall in this city through the Ringing of the Family Bell simultaneously with particular families.

Under the announcement of the Civil Service Commission, another simultaneous ringing of bells will be held at the State Universities and Colleges.
