GPP FUNDED PROJECTS IN LUBAO, COMPLETED

LUBAO, Pampanga—The P2.8 million road projects of this town funded by the Grassroots Participatory Process (GPP) were completed according to a report released by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
These project includes the concreting of the 700 meter road at Barangay Del Carmen worth P1,785,000 and the concreting of the 700 meter road at Barangay San Miguel worth P1,829,200.
The funded projects were part of the 2014 proposed GPP budget. The fund covers the 80% of the total project cost, while the remaining is the counterpart fund of the local government unit.
“Napakalaking ginhawa na ‘yong dinadaanan mo sementado, maayos,” Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, said.
GPP formerly called Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB) allows the local communities and civil society organizations (CSOs) to participate in the planning process and identification of priority poverty reduction projects.
The identified projects will then be submitted and funded by the national government agencies.
