CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Lilia G. Pineda described her recent win as more than just a personal victory but vindication of the Kapampangans’ satisfaction over the provincial government’s performance in the last 34 months.
During the flag ceremony yesterday, Pineda commended the efforts of Capitol department heads and employees which she said was the key to the effective and successful implementation of programs and projects that benefitted the people of the province.
“This shows that the Kapampangans trust our administration and are contented on the services provided to them by the provincial government. Let us work harder on the next three years and prove to our constituents that we are truly deserving of their trust,” Pineda said.
Also, Pineda recognized the efforts of her fellow officials and candidates who however failed to secure their former or new positions.
Board Members Monina Laus and Trina Dizon both sought to be re-elected but were unsuccessful, while Board Member Raul Macalino ran and lost for vice mayor in this city.
“Our outgoing board members had huge contributions in the progress we experience today. The collaboration of the legislative and executive departments also played a big role in our advancement,” Pineda stressed.
Pineda won the recent elections with 594,011 votes against former De facto Governor Eddie Panlilio who garnered a total of 148,376 votes.
