Governors United Against Crime

The recent summit of the Regional Peace and Order Council in Central Luzon demonstrated a united front against all forms of criminality in the region. Hosted by the provincial government of Pampanga, all governors of Central Luzon recorded a one hundred percent attendance for the first time in any RPOC event. Governor Lilia G. Pineda expressed elation over this show of support and enthusiasm, indicative of the governors’ and other stakeholders’ wanting to “win the peace” for the region which they declared as the next center of progress in the country. Photo shows Governors Hermogenes Ebdane, Jr., Zambales; Pineda; Aurelio M. Umali, Nueva Ecija; Wilhelmino M Alvarado, Bulacan; and Enrique “Tet” Garcia, Jr, Bataan; and visiting Governors Alfonso Umali of Oriental Mindoro and Josephine Sato of Occidental Mindoro, president and secretary-general respectively of the League of Governors of the Philippines.
