Governor Delta extends aid to 64 displaced families in Dila-dila, Sta. Rita

Sta. Rita, Pampanga – A total of 64 displaced families from Barangay Dila-dila, Sta. Rita has received housing and financial assistance from the provincial government of Pampanga.

Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally visited the area on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, to provide essential aid to the affected families. These families were among the over 130 households displaced from their homes following the government’s acquisition of the land they previously occupied. According to Barangay Captain Avelino Sotto, residents here had been living in the area since 1992.

In response to their displacement, the families were relocated to a plot of land generously donated by a private individual, offering them the opportunity to rebuild their lives and construct new homes.

Governor Delta distributed food packs and financial assistance amounting to 15,000 to each household. In addition, the governor is giving additional construction materials to all affected residents. Furthermore, he has pledged to assist in the processing of the division of land titles among all beneficiaries.

Monchito Llaguno, one of the beneficiaries, expressed his gratitude, stating, “The assistance provided by Governor to us is a significant help. I would not have been able to obtain it through my job alone. Thank you, Governor, for helping all the people in our community.”

This initiative highlights Governor Pineda’s commitment to serving and assisting the communities of Pampanga, ensuring that every family receives the support they need.
