Gov. Pineda lauds gov’t agency chiefs for approval of funds

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda extended her gratitude to the national line agency chiefs and their local counter parts in her recent State of the Province Address.

 

Governor Pineda thanked Dr. Leonita Gorgolon, her partner in delivering quality health services and the regional director of Center for Health and Development. In the last five years, the province received P860 million from the Department of Health. From these funds, a total of P525.5 million was allotted for the construction or improvement of public hospitals, birthing stations, and rural health units throughout the province, as part of the department’s Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP).

 

The governor acknowledged the support of Engineers Antonio Molano and Lita Manalo of the Department of Public Works and Highways which was instrumental in the provision of infrastructure funding worth P4.35 billion which includes National Road and Network  Services worth P2.38 billion, Flood Management Services worth P1.21 billion, maintenance and construction services of other infrastructures worth  P600 million, and other local infrastructure projects worth P147.8 million.

 

Pineda lauded the Department of Social Welfare and Development led by Regional Director Gemma Gabuya for the provision of P1.19 billion for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program benefitting 51,416 indigent Kapampangan families.

 

Pineda also noted the support of National Housing Authority Project Manager Ines Gonzales in the realization of numerous housing and resettlement programs amounting to P487 million. This includes the P14 million allotted for the Nabuclod Housing for Aeta Community in Floridablanca, P236 million allotted for various resettlement projects and assistance, and P237 million for the construction of community facilities.

 

The governor also lauded Employment Regional Director Ana Dione for the P37.89 million awarded to the Capitol under the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES), and P22.58 million for the Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Program both from the Department of Labor and Employment.

 

Governor Pineda also acknowledged the provincial police force headed by Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Recomono Jr. for their untiring efforts to maintain the current peace and order situation in the province. It can be recalled Pampanga was declared the most peaceful province in Central Luzon as per the assessment of the National Economic Development Authority this year.

 

According to Pineda, the provincial government’s rapport with the respective regional and provincial directors of national line agencies proved instrumental in the approval of funds and projects benefitting Kapampangans from all sectors.

 

“We could not have done all of this accomplishments without your backing and unwavering support,” Pineda stressed.
