NUEVA ECIJA— Governor Lilia G. Pineda has also expressed interest in establishing PhilRice Satellite Campus at the Pampanga Agricultural College (PAC) in Magalang town.
With this, the governor told Central Luzon State University (CLSU) President Dr. Ruben Sevilleja that she is eyeing a 50-hectare land for her proposed PhilRice Campus at the PAC.
Pineda said that the establishment of a PhilRice campus in Pampanga will cater to the needs of the farmers who are very interested in learning more about agriculture particularly in rice production and land preparation.
Being an agricultural country, the promotion of agricultural training and research is highly needed to improve the farming sector and bring back the old glory of rice production particularly in Pampanga. (Angelique DC Tuazon, PIO Pampanga)
