Gov Okays Simultaneous Repair of Police Stations, Compac in 20 Towns, City

Governor Lilia G. Pineda has approved the simultaneous repair, renovation and construction of municipal police stations and community police action centers throughout the province’s 20 towns including the City of San Fernando.

This developed as the governor met with Philippine National Police (PNP) Provincial Director Edgardo Tinio and all municipal chiefs of police in the province.

During the meeting held at the provincial capitol executive house, the PNP officials updated the governor on the status of their respective municipal police headquarters and the nature and extent of improvement work needed.

The governor ordered the Provincial Engineers Office (PEO) to immediately monitor and inspect the extent of damages of the concerned polices stations and make recommendations for the simultaneous repair of the said facilities.

Pineda assured the law enforcers that the provincial government remains firm in its commitment to provide the needed support to the PNP to ensure the maintenance of peace and order in the province.

“Aliwa mu ing saken at gamit ing dapat dinan pansin, dapat masalese la mu rin ding kekayung pekatuknangan para mas komportable kayu keng kekayung pamagserbisyu karing kekatamung kabalen,” the governor emphasized to the participants.

It will be recalled that in the past year, the Pineda administration provided needed service patrol vehicles such as motorcycles, tricycles including cell phones to the various police stations to further enhance their monitoring and surveillance capability.

The governor said that the provincial government will shoulder all the expenses needed for the various improvement works of police stations and action centers as the chiefs of police submitted their respective budgetary requirements.

Director Tinio, speaking in behalf of the PNP provincial family, expressed his overwhelming gratitude to the chief provincial executive who remained consistent in her desire to ensure effective and efficient delivery of government services.

Provincial Administrator Atty. Andres S. Pangilinan, Jr., Board Members Raul Macalino, Nestor Tolentino and Monina Laus joined the said meeting.  (Erlinda T. Yutuc, Pampanga PIO)
