MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda led the inauguration and blessing of the newly constructed out-patient department building in Mabalacat District Hospital, this Wednesday.
The P14 million project was funded by the provincial capitol as part of the governor’s program of providing quality health care services to the people of Pampanga.
The building consists of a paediatrics clinic, dental clinic, surgery clinic, animal bite center, haemodialysis center, rehabilitation center, ob-gyne, ladies’ dorm, men’s dorm, conference room and administrative offices.
Governor Pineda, in her speech reiterated the importance of the public hospitals in the province especially to the lives of the less privileged.
“Our facilities underwent total makeover, we should now focus on the improvement of the services being offered to the public,” governor Pineda said.
She also thanked former Congressman Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin for the additional P1.5 million for the purchase of equipment for the haemodialysis center .
Dr. Benjamin Arboleda, chief of hospital here, thanked the governor for the unwavering support she’s extending towards the betterment of the district hospital.
He also said that the dialysis center will soon be operational once the necessary documents needed for the operation were completed.
Mabalacat City Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales also expressed his appreciation to the governor for the new building.
“This project is a manifestation of the love of Governor Pineda to our constituents here in Mabalacat particularly to the less fortunate,” said Morales.
Aside from the new building, the use of Hospital Operation Management Information System (HOMIS) was also inaugurated.
This system will be used to systematically collect, process, store, present and share information in support of hospital functions. It also provides real-time operations monitoring, up-to-date and granular statistics and shared support services.
Present during the event were former Congressman Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, board members Crisostomo Garbo, Cherry Manalo, Rosve Henson, other local officials, and chief of hospitals.
