Gov lauds SC’s acquittal verdict on CGMA case

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia Pineda lauded the decision of the Supreme Court to acquit former president now second district Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (CGMA) of plunder case.
It can be recalled that the former president was detained at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Quezon City since October 2012.
The governor said that CGMA might immediately request for treatment due to her illness.
Governor Pineda also disclosed that Congresswoman Arroyo should immediately give attention to treat her deteriorating health and weight drop.

“Her acquittal will greatly help as she could devote her time in helping for the development of Pampanga,” she added.
The Supreme Court granted the dismissal of CGMA’s plunder case after the 11-4 majority vote in favor of her petition to junk the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office misused funds case. This was after the SC saw lack of evidence against her.
