LUBAO – Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda gathered yesterday some 554 dialysis patients from the 2nd district of Pampanga to discuss the health programs of the provincial government and distribute food and non-food assistance.
Gov Pineda in her speech said that she’s aware of the financial burden of patients undergoing treatment and encouraged them to have their regular check-up together with their family members at the provincial and district hospitals to prevent them from having the same disease.
“Kung atin kayu o deng kamag-anak yung araramdaman, agad kayung munta at palawe kareng ospital ning kapitolyu. Ali tamu pu paburen na mika-cancer at dialysis la pa deng kamag-anak o kapamilya tamu,” said the governor.
The governor also assured the patients that the capitol will provide assistance once their 90 haemodialysis sessions from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) were used to ease their financial burden.
Gov Pineda said the capitol is allotting millions of pesos to the health services to ensure that the health care needs of every Kapampangans are being met.
According to Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWD) Officer Elizabeth Baybayan, the gathering of the dialysis patients is a regular program of the governor.
“Ang mga programs ni Gov maintained and sustained. Gusto niya laging inaalam kung ano ‘yung tulong na pwedeng ibigay sa mga Kapampangan,” said Baybayan.
Baybayan said the governor will roam the province and gather other patients to discuss other provincial government’s programs.
Also present during the distribution were Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Angie Blanco, provincial social workers and other local officials.
