Gov. Delta lauds Pasig City LGU for P1M Calamity Assistance

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda lauded Pasig City’s local government, led by Mayor Vico Sotto, for extending P1 million calamity financial assistance to the province on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

Representatives from the City’s Office of the Mayor and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office visited the provincial capitol to hand over the P1-million financial aid.

“Sana kahit maliit, makatulong ito nang malaki sa inyong probinsya. Maasahan niyo po ang suporta ng Lungsod ng Pasig. Ipinrioritize po talaga namin ang mga probinsyang nangangailangan ng tulong,” said Attorney Bernice Mendoza, Executive Assistant to the Office of the City Mayor.

Mendoza noted that Pampanga had been prioritized for assistance due to the various calamities that had beset the province in recent months.

Governor Delta expressed his appreciation for the kindness and generosity shown by the people of Pasig City toward the Kapampangans.

“Sa mga kababayan po natin sa City of Pasig, sa pamumuno ni Mayor Vico Sotto, maraming salamat sa inyong tulong para sa probinsya ng Pampanga. Ang P1 million na ito ay malaking tulong para sa mga Kapampangan,” expressed the governor.

He further mentioned that the assistance received would be utilized to procure additional medicines and essential goods for those affected by recent calamities.
