Gov convenes PWDs for general assembly

LUBAO – Some 300 persons with disabilities (PWDs) gathered this Wednesday for a general assembly organized by the provincial government.

 

According to Elizabeth Baybayan, Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWD) officer, Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda wants to meet with the PWDs from the second district to discuss various services offered by the provincial government.

 

Gov. Pineda, in her speech, said PWDs can avail of the scholarship program provided by the capitol and the different health services in the 11 district and provincial hospitals in Pampanga.

 

“Atin ku pung kautusan kareng ospital na den ngang masakit kekayu den da kayung ID, bayaran dakayu keng Philhealth at ala kayung bayaran kareng ospital. Ali kayu rin pu sasaling panulu keng luwal uling dakal ta legeng panulu karang district at provincial hospitals tamu,” the governor said.

 

Gov. Pineda also instructed the PSWDO to get the list of the PWDs who are still living in makeshift houses.

 

The governor added that the provincial government will provide livelihood assistance to the PWDs.

 

After the event, Gov Pineda together with board member Salvador Dimson, Jr and former board member Fritzie Dizon distributed food packs.
