Gov completes over 1.6-B Infra Projects in 4 years

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— A total of P1,637,749,396.65 infrastructure projects have been concluded in the 1st and 2nd term of Governor Lilia G. Pineda’s administration,  reports have revealed.

In the first term of Governor Pineda’s post as governor a total of P1.03-billion major infra projects had been facilitated by the provincial government under her management.

Capitol had funded major infrastructure projects like construction and renovation of district hospitals, construction of classroom buildings in different public schools and provincial, municipal and barangay farm-to-market roads.

 

More than 400 classrooms in 148 public schools had been constructed in the whole province since the lady governor assumed office. This is aside from the six covered courts also constructed in various public schools.

 

The provincial government had also facilitated the construction of boys and girls comfort rooms for 26 public schools amounting to P9.7 million; more than P18-million for the establishment of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University Sto. Tomas Campus and another P20 million was given for the construction of expansion building of the Philippine State College of Aeronautics in Floridablanca and the renovation of P43-million Regional Trial Court (RTC) building.

The new RTC building, composed of eight courts and 24 offices – fully furnished and air-conditioned with 22 comfort rooms was constructed in a span of 20 months by the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO)

The Capitol had also implemented the improvement of four classroom school buildings with comfort rooms at Mexico National High School worth P1,188,230.28;improvement of San Isidro Gasak Barangay Road, Sta Rita- 3,761,198.80; concreting of Mapalad Barangay Road, Arayat – P1,487,420.14; improvement of Mabalacat District Hospital Phase III and face lift of old buildings – P6,425,275.51; improvement of Escolastica Romero District Hospital Annex, San Nicolas, Lubao- P683,382.20; construction of multi-purpose covered area with reinforced concrete slab in Mabuanbuan, Sasmuan – P2,062,990.68; improvement of covered court with stage, Dila-Dila, Sta. Rita -P3,501,015.90; and construction of covered court with two sets of basketball courts, Prado Siongco, Lubao – P2,357,890.06;

The provincial government had completed the general renovation and improvement of all existing district hospital buildings in the province including facilities and medical equipment.

 

The governor had also initiated the establishment of dialysis centers in selected district hospitals;These were the St. Agustine Dialysis center in Escolastica Romero District Hospital, Lubao; Pampanga Diagnostic Center in Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital (DPMMH) Guagua and St. Theresa Dialysis Center in Dr. Andres Soriano District Hospital (DASDH) Magalang.

These were realized through a public-private partnership with individuals and companies who are helping the governor through the provision of dialysis machines under a co-management agreement.

 

Through the engineering office, the provincial government had facilitated the reconstruction of several provincial roads in flood-hit municipalities that were damaged by previous calamities.

 

Other infrastructure projects finished were the improvement of dikes particularly in Mandili, Candaba, and in San Sebastian, San Luis town. Pampanga River Dike road Batasan-Candating section in Arayat, San Nicolas 1st barangay road in Sasmuan, Phase 11 of Guagua-Sta. Rita-Porac road San Matias and Becuran section, Phase IV Dila-dila section both in Sta. Rita, and Phase V Dila-dila-Pulong Santol section in Sta.Rita-Porac were also completed.

 

The widening of San Miguel-Sta.Cruz barangay road in San Simon and reblocking and asphalt overlay of Sto. Domingo-Lourdes-San Isidro-Telacsan-Colgante provincial road from Minalin to Apalit and Macabebe were finished.

 

The provincial government also completed the improvement and concreting of the provincial road in San Juan-San Jose-Natividad-Lambac-Pulong Masle road Lambac section in Guagua, San Matias-San Simon road San Matias section in Sto. Tomas, and Del Rosario-Bacolor road in the City of San Fernando, Sta. Ana Magalang along San Agustin section and in San Sebastian San Luis.

 

Also completed were the repair and improvement of the barangay hall, Dau, Mabalacat – P1,449,971.96; installation of three units artesian well (Block 41, 53, 68), Northville 16, Atlu Bola, Mabalacat City – P29,500; construction of two storey evacuation center at San Isidro Resettlement, San Isidro, Magalang – P13,542,043.15; documentation, plans and subdivision data for the resettlement projects in San Isidro, Magalang -P715,792.00; improvement of the Provincial Social Welfare Development Office – P1,073,912.95; rehabilitation/improvement of the roofing of the Provincial Capitol building, Executive House, Capitol Compound- P1,300,555; and improvement of the Provincial Administrator’s Office, Capitol Compound – P621,021.60.
