Gov aspires drug free Pampanga

INSURGENCY FREE PAMPANGA. Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda listens as mayors from Arayat, Floridablanca, San Luis, Candaba and Mexico state their insurgency situation in their respective towns. CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—“If there were raw materials confiscated, it only means there is an existing drug laboratory somewhere here. Let’s track it down”.

Thus said, Pampanga governor and chairperson Lilia”Nanay” Pineda during the joint meeting of the Pampanga Peace and Order Council and Provincial Anti-drug Abuse Council meeting last Friday at the Benigno Aquino Hall of the provincial capitol.

Relatively, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency regional director Jeoffrey Tacio conveyed the drug situation in Pampanga.  Such as affectation, drugs of choice, drug trends , critical entry and transshipment points together with their accomplishments which included the recently dismantled shabu warehouse in Richtown and Greenville subdivision, respectively.

The meeting also included the regulation on purchasing motor cycles, issuance of conduction stickers, official plates from LTO to the formulation of city ordinance concerning the registration of motor bike owners within limits of authority.

This in relation to tracking down the riding in tandem criminals in the province.

However, 3rd district Board member Rosve Henson said that a city ordinance should be made to require every business establishment to have CCTV before issuing permits. This he said would be a great help to apprehend criminals.

Hence,  DILG regional director Myrvi Fabia  said a memorandum circular 2014-119 was already issued requiring all LGUs to oblige installing CCTV before issuing  business permits.

DILG regional director Myrvi Fabia discussed the Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP) for rebel returnees. There are currently 13 rebels enrolled under the said program.

Philippine Army Brigade Commander Col. David Diciano of the Armed Forces of the Philippines presented the insurgency situation, their accomplishments and future plans.

Diciano concluded that Pampanga is indeed insurgency free and found to be peaceful.

Mayors from Arayat, Floridablanca, Candaba, San Luis and Mexico also concurred with the report and informed the governor that some reported break -away groups pretend as rebels only to extort money from businessmen.

While PNP regional director PS/Supt. Marlon Madrid gave out the peace and order situation, accomplishments and assessments.
