CITY OF SAN FERNANDO–In the observance of Tourism month, Arts Culture and Tourism Office of Pampanga in partnership and acquiescence from Governor Lilia Pineda hold a “Festival Management Seminar Workshop” from September 9 to 12, 2014 at the Benigno Aquino Hall of the provincial capitol.
Delegates of the said seminar come from different provinces of Central Luzon.
The main objective of the seminar revolve on how to strengthen, enhance the LGU sectors in putting up their own festival based on their cultural, social and historical values, in a well synchronized manner.
Tourism Regional Director Ronaldo P. Tiotuico said in an interview, that the seminar workshop will help and expose participation of Central Luzon to Festival Planning and Management, generating economic, social and cultural enhancement in creating their own based on historical roots and be relevant to the real existing Filipino Festivals in the region.
According to Provincial Tourism Officer, Arwin Paul Lingat, the seminar will not only input LGU’s capacity building but to also reinforce the existing festivals, reflecting the genuine identity, pride and sense of belongingness of every province.
In connection, the goal of creating festivals dwell on attracting more tourists, produce more livelihood opportunities, showcase creativity, flair and talent of every Filipino in the region.
