EMB lauds Capitol distribution of brand new dump trucks

Dump trucks: Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, distributes dump trucks for solid waste management program of Pampanga.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —Environment Management Bureau (EMB) Region III Director Lormelyn Claudio lauded the provincial government for the distribution of brand new dump trucks in all cities and municipalities of Pampanga.

The initial distribution was held yesterday in front of the provincial Capitol led by Governor Lilia G. Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis Delta Pineda and Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Officer Arthur Punsalan for the effective implementation of the solid waste management program of the province.

Claudio said Pampanga is the only province in Central Luzon who used to provide dump trucks to local government units (LGUs).

Before the turnover, the mayors of the recipient towns and cities led by Pampanga Mayor’s League President Mylyn Pineda Cayabyab and Governor Pineda signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the maintenance of the heavy vehicles.

The governor reminded the mayors to take good care and properly maintain the dump trucks so the use could be maximized for the proper handling and hauling of collected garbage in the respective towns and cities.

She said the distribution was realized through the request of the Pampanga Mayors and upon the approval of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

With the proper solid waste management, the governor said, they could also help and contributed for the health program of the province.

Initially, the towns of Magalang, Floridablanca, Guagua, Lubao, Porac, Sasmuan, Sta Rita, Arayat, Mexico, Sta. Ana, Apalit, Candaba, San Luis, Minalin and Sto. Tomas were given dump trucks.
