CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Outgoing Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda received a plaque of recognition from Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for her accomplishments during her three-term stint.

The recognition rites transpired during the turn-over of official documents by the newly installed Vice Governor to Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda, in accordance with DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2019-39.

The turned over documents include Governance Assessment Report 2018; Commission on Audit (COA) Report 2018; Contracts and Loan Agreements; Local Development Investment Plan and Executive-Legislative Agenda; Annual Investment Plan 2019; Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan; Human Resources Development Plan; Organizational Structure and Inventory Personnel by Nature of Appointment; and Executive Orders from 2016-2018 and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolutions from 2017 to May 2019.

DILG Provincial Director Myrvi Fabia commended the exemplary efforts of Former Gov. Pineda.

According to her, it is during the lady Governor’s administration that the province had P3.05 billion revenue income; P13 trillion worth of investments; and provision of more than 40,000 employment for Kapampangans.

With this, Fabia said, the Commission on Audit (COA) recognized Pampanga as one of the richest provinces in the country, with P9.53 billion in assets.

It is also during her time when the poverty rate of the province decreased to 4.94% in 2018 from 6.4% in 2013, which uplifted the level of living of her kabalen.

Health services such as Point of Care (POC), no balance billing and Philhealth membership were delivered to Kapampangans.

Also included in her accomplishments are the recognition of National Gawad Kalasag in 2018 for the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office; being “insurgency-free” and ready for further development as declared by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP); and having the highest percentage of passers for Seal of Good and Local Governance (SGLG) not just in Central Luzon but in the country. #
