Capitol’s Skills Training Benefits 1628 Kapampangans

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Provincial Manpower Training Center has listed 1628 Kapampangan beneficiaries of the skills enhancement and training program under Gov.Lilia Pineda administration.
Francis Maslog,officer-in-charge of PMTC said since 2010, the provincial government conducted in-house and community-based training for free in different municipalities in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Training Administration.
“For almost three years now, the present administration continuously gives free skills training to our cabalen who would like to improve their craft for higher possibility of employment,”Maslog stated.
He added, trained skilled workers are competent enough for local and international employment.
Based on the accomplishment report of PMTC, among the recipients of the skills training, 266 are already employed, 755 are self-employed, 371  are referred to Public Employment Services Office to work abroad and 233 undergo on-the-job training.
“Gov. Pineda instructed us not only to give training but also to help them find a good job,” Maslog said.
Among training given by PMTC are computer hardware servicing, consumer electronics, computer literacy, shielded metal arc welding, automotive servicing technology, electrical installation and maintenance, plumbing, Korean language proficiency training, furniture upholstery, heavy equipment operation, hair dressing, wellness massage, small engine servicing, and beauty care.
