Capitol will give away 100 tricycles to irrigators

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—In line with relentless efforts to fully serve all Kapampangans, Governor Lilia Nanay Pineda met with the irrigators, association’s officers federation, National Irrigation Administration (NIA) staff, Provincial Agricultural and Fishery Council, Municipal Agriculturists and other stakeholders, during their consultative meeting at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, on Monday.

The lady governor mentioned the 110 million funds for NIA (Pampanga) and the provision of the 100 tricycles by the provincial government.

“Yung mga tricycle, pinabilang ko sa president ng PAO kung ilan ang kailangan nyo, ninety-four daw po. Yung ninety-four na ‘yon gagawin ko ng one hundred para hindi na kayo mag-away-away”, the governor said.

With this development, Governor Pineda also addressed the equipment needs and services for the irrigators like back hoes, backhoe loaders and the twenty-five shallow tube wells.

According to the governor, the Capitol at present, has three huge back hoes, twenty five shallow tube wells and the newly purchased four back-hoe loaders that the irrigators can use to desilt their irrigation canals apart from the back hoes of Mexico and Arayat towns which the farmers can also have access to.

“Ang kailangan nyo po ay madesilt lahat ng inyong mga irrigation canal, kailangang linisin at hukayin ang mga ‘yan”, the governor said.

Meanwhile the governor also told the irrigators to have a dialogue with the division manager Engr. Prudencio B. Santos of Pampanga NIA on what to do with the 110 million funds.

“Ang kailangan nating gawin mag-usap-usap na kayo kung ano ang gagawin ng division chief dun sa 110 million na pondo ng Pampanga ngayong 2015”, the governor said.

The governor also advised irrigators to consult with the provincial government, their board members to resolve irrigation issues.

Philhealth benefits for senior citizens and cataract free operation was also reiterated by the governor for the benefit of those who have not yet been informed.

The governor was joined by Board members Rosve Henson, Crisostomo Garbo, Nestor Tolentino, Cherry Manalo, Ricardo Yabut, Chief-of-Staff Fritzie David Dizon, Apalit Mayor Oscar Tetangco Jr., presidents/chairmen of irrigation association/federation, municipal agriculturists, provincial agriculturists, barangay chairmen,stakeholders, department heads of Capitol among others.
