Capitol to Spend P25-M for DHVTSU Sto. Tomas

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial government has allotted P25-million for the proposed establishment of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University (DHVTSU) satellite campus in Barangay Moras del Paz in Sto. Tomas town.

Fourth District Board Member Nestor Tolentino said Governor Lilia G. Pineda and Dr. Enrique Baking, president of DHVTSU had signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the implementation and operations of the state university in the said town.

With this, the provincial board has approved the budget for DHVTSU Sto. Tomas campus.

The initial funds worth P25M will be used for the development and reconstruction of the buildings previously utilized by the Department of Health and National Irrigation Administration.

This project will serve the students from Pampanga’s 4th district namely Macabebe, Masantol, Apalit, Candaba, San Simon, Minalin, Sto. Tomas, and San Luis towns.

The satellite campus will offer technical vocational programs and Bachelor of Science programs like its main campus in Bacolor.

Tolentino,  in an interview in the Capitol radio program, “Indung Kapampangan, Luguran Taya” aired over 95.1 RW FM,  said the bidding for the reconstruction and renovation of the old buildings are now on-going. (Angelique DC. Tuazon, PIO Pampanga)
