Province of Pampanga—The Provincial Government of Pampanga, headed by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, is set to distribute a total of ₱1-million cash to 1,000 bedridden Kapampangan senior citizens around the province from November 8 to 10 this year.

Each recipient will be given ₱1,000 and a can of 1.8 kilogram of milk.

“‘Itong programang ito ay malaking tulong para sa ating mga senior citizen na may sakit. Pwede nila itong gamitin sa pagbili ng kanilang mga gamot at vitamins, at ‘yung gatas naman para palakasin ‘yung kanilang resistensya,” said 3rd District Board Member Mica Gonzales.

According to the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), the assistance is provided quarterly to sickly, frail, and bedridden Kapampangan senior citizens who are incapable of supporting themselves and only depend on their families.

The claimant should be a family member or a guardian certified by the City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (C/MSWDO) and the Office of the Senior Citizen Affair (OSCA). They must bring and present an authorization letter to the disbursing staff stating that the senior citizen is authorizing them to process the said assistance.

Today, the provincial government has already distributed cash and milk supplement to each of the 377 indigent Kapampangan senior citizens from first and third district of the province.

The distribution will resume tomorrow in the second district, 268; and on Thursday in the fourth district, 355.
