Capitol to Distribute Health Access Cards for PWDs

STO. TOMAS, Pampanga – The provincial government headed by Governor Lilia “Nanay” G. Pineda will distribute health access cards to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in this town.

Pineda announced this during the inauguration of the new public market in Barangay San Matias of this town.

PWDs present during the event rejoiced over the good news brought here by the governor.

“With these access cards, PWDs will be given priority in all 11 district hospitals throughout the province,” Pineda stated.

According to Elizabeth Baybayin, provincial social welfare and development officer, ‘gold’ access cards will be distributed for the Kapampangan PWDs.

“Gold access card holders would enjoy 100% coverage for their hospital bills, medicines, laboratory fees, and any other expenses incurred at our 10 district hospitals and provincial hospital,” Baybayin explained.

To avoid any incidence of fraud, the PSWDO will utilize a computerized-system wherein legitimate PWD beneficiaries or card holders will be enrolled.

“The listing will be available to all provincial and district hospitals for their reference, as well as rural health units for the immediate delivery of health services to our constituents,” Baybayin added.

Barangay health workers will also be enlisted for this project as they will be in-charged of the documentation of the beneficiaries. (Angelique DC. Tuazon, PIO Pampanga)
