CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia G. Pineda announced that the provincial government is set to construct two-storey building worth P20-million with 12 classrooms and two laboratories.
This came after the Pampanga government led by Governor Pineda and the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) headed by President Honorio Soriano Jr signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the Governor’s Office yesterday.
The governor said the provincial government believes that the strengthening of the agricultural industry would mean economic growth and stability.
She added that this will encourage investment and tourism activities in the province and this can be achieved through academic excellence in institutes of higher learning.
“Once completed, the classroom building will be turned over to PSAU who will be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and security,” the governor said.
Soriano said the building project is an “impact driven project for the young people of Pampanga especially for the students who are taking up agriculture and other related programs in PSAU”.
“The building will be occupied by the agri-business program and the development communication program of PSAU,” he said.
He said PSAU, a specialized agriculture university, is presently in need of additional infrastructure facilities to meet its growing number of students.
